We have twelve Optimists, one Catalina 22, one O’day, and three J24s,. The Optimists are stored on the floating dock and the other boats (keel boats) are stored on moorings. We also have three safety/motor boats.
Optimists are one of the best boats to start learning how to sail on and yet it is just as great for racers.
At the 2008 Olympics over 85% of the medal winning boat skippers were former Optimist sailors.
